Blending Workshop (please register)

The latest in our educational workshop series, this class will introduce you to the basics of blending in cidermaking. You’ll explore how different single varietals (just one variety of apple fermented) work well together and how blends are balanced to create great cider. Many cideries don’t have the opportunity to ferment so many single varieties of apples that are new again. This will be interactive, as you will be tasting and learning about different ciders before creating some blends of your own! $20 General Public, $15 Cider Club - RSVP below and pay at the door.

Cider History Talk (please register)

Cider has a notable past, and every year we look forward to learning more from cider historian Mark Turdo of Pommel Cyder!

This year's talk focuses on cider in 18th-century America:

"We will explore the range of American cider culture from earliest settlement to the 1790s and see how cider was so ingrained in American culture that even the early Temperance movement thought it was safe".

It's a nice way to spend a winter's afternoon around the woodstove learning, and there's always time for discussion/Q&A.

$15 Cider Club, $20 General Public. Includes a pour of cider. Please RSVP below and pay on the day.
